The joys of Internet shopping...

Sweet Pea doesn't know it yet, but her mommy likes to shop! Infact, her Nana and I took her to her first trip to the mall when she was just 3 weeks old. When we pulled into the parking spot, I said, "Sweet Pea, this is your first trip to the mall!", and she went, "heheheheheh". I think she's a born shopper. Its something inherited, I think. When I was learning to drive and navigate around the city, I would ask my mom where something was in location to a mall or store, because that was a good point of reference for me - I know where the malls and stores are!

Anyway, I've made my first purchase of toys for Sweet Pea! I bought her:

Sophie the Giraffe and Jacques the Peacock!

Here's their descriptions:
Sophie is soft, light and easy to grasp, perfect for little hands and makes a happy sound when squeezed. Babies especially love her bumpy head to sooth their teething gums. Jaques the Peacock has bright colors and multiple textures and sounds that are sure to stimulate and delight baby.

They look adorable and I can't wait for them to get here! I hope Sweet Pea likes them as much as I do!

Fun with the Taggie!

Anna from work gave Sweet Pea this really cool toy called a Taggie at my baby shower. I love watching Sweet Pea with it! Its soft and full of bright colors, and she loves to play with the "tags" on it. It is adorable!

Fun Toys!

I came across a site with some really cool toys for babies and toddlers! I have been worried that the only toy choices for Sweet Pea are going to be "Pretty Pretty Princess", "Suzie Homemaker", or "Disney Skank" (if you've ever heard my opinion on Miley Cyrus this Disney reference will make much more sense).

For some reason when I look at Sweet Pea I imagine her being some sort of scientist when she grows up. She just looks so smart! Maybe I just think that because I'm her mommy, but, I doubt it!

Anyway, I found a promising website with some really neat toys that I plan on purchasing for Sweet Pea when its time to give her a gift. Its called FatBrainToys and has TONS of cool stuff to look at! One of my favs so far is the Bilibo, here's what the website describes it as:

"Magically attractive and deceptively simple, Bilibo's iconic shell shape and bright colors prove immediately appealing to young children. Developed by Swiss designer Alex Hochstrasser in collaboration with childhood development experts, Bilibo's unique form arouses curiosity, stimulates the senses, engages the imagination, and encourages creativity."
